Shoshana hand paints in gouache. She creates illustrations inspired by beautiful places and everyday moments, creating work for hotels, museums, publishing, food & lifestyle brands.
Shoshana means Rose and is pronounced Shu-sha-na. If you're still stuck, imagine you're saying the name "Suzanna", but just replace the S and z with two "sh" sounds!

I love to work with traditional mediums such as gouache and ink, before scanning my work to make refining details and layouts digitally. Working traditionally on paper allows me to create textures and embrace the imperfections that give my work a handcrafted feel. I enjoy creating illustrations that help people explore and experience places, really slowing down, in heritage sites, museums, galleries and hospitality spaces. I also love illustrating food and children's illustrations.​
